Baseball Codes by Jason Turbow

So a few weeks ago, I finished Baseball Codes by Jason Turbow and for any baseball fans out there, it’s an interesting read on the history of the internal politics, pranks and baseball player rules reserved for the locker room.  Kangaroo court, road trip rules as well as player strategies that include intimidation tactics on and off the field.  Who knew there was a difference in insulting a player’s girlfriend vs. insulting a player’s wife?  (Apparently the latter is a grave offense).  I recounted several stories from baseball’s history to my Toronto Blue Jays lovin’ boyfriend and he chuckled and was surprised.  Worth a read, especially for a baseball newbie like me!
